Gulliver Travels: Adventures in Paper WorldGulliver Travels: Adventures in Paper World is one of those classics that is worth reading, for the simple reason that it covers a wide range of topics. In this book, the author explores various areas that would otherwise be overlooked.
Firstly, there is the topic of bureaucracy; on a planet of our dreams, I'm sure it's going to be filled with people who serve the people's ideas instead of those of governments. We need a new system of leadership that could possibly make it possible for such people to exist. The Gulliver travels book is full of new ideas that should get us closer to such a possibility. Secondly, we should be willing to accept a huge variety of people in the world of today. Of course, we're probably more likely to accept strangers, but this book presents an intelligent idea on the matter. People from all kinds of cultures should be accepted into the society. Thirdly, we should also be willing to accept people from all kinds of cultures. It is hard to imagine such a society without immigrants. These are usually people who are smarter and better suited to the society, so in a way, it's an advantage. On the other hand, if the only immigrants we accept are people who are not capable of being citizens, then we are surely making a big mistake. Fourthly, Gulliver Travels is filled with ideas of how to prevent refugees from taking refuge in our country. There is always the hope that the refugees will leave at some point, and when they do, they can be allowed to come back later. So long as we offer them housing and employment, this should be easy. Fifthly, we should not accept the influx of refugees to certain natural disaster zones. No matter how difficult it is to live in such places, there are places where we have the right to keep out people and we should do so. Sixthly, Gulliver Travels: Adventures in Paper World presents ideas about how to organize society. Of course, every society has a problem in this area, and no one has ever solved it. I'm surprised that a book about paper topics managed to reach many people. However, the book is well written and contains a wide range of topics, including ideas that should be taken into consideration by all societies.
